The New York Yankees’ devoted fans have been handed a reason to celebrate like never before. As the playoffs took off, the Yankees’ trash-talking rivals, the Tampa Bay Rays and Toronto Blue Jays, were eliminated. Taking advantage of this opportunity, the Yankees faithful did not shy away from taking a dig at their situation.

As passionate as the Yankees fans are, they are savage. Ranging from the Rays’ pathetic scoreless streak to the Jays’ first-round sweep, the fans ripped them apart. It’s known that New York did not make it to the playoffs owing to their 7-1 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. With that, the already hysterical fans exploded after Wednesday’s result.

The Minnesota Twins finished a 2-game sweep on Monday dethroning the Blue Jays at Target Field. The 3-1 loss in Game 1, for the Blue Jays, brought them a step closer to elimination. With the Jays out of the playoffs, a video of Vladimir Guerrero Jr. aka Vladdy surfaced where he was seen condescending to the Yankees as Aaron Judge walked. He was seen chanting, “My House” in an attempt to take a dig at the Yanks. Well, this does not spare the Tampa Bay Rays.

On the other hand, the Texas Rangers beat the Rays 7-1 for the Wild Card Series. What is surprising is that Bay Rays had an excellent start, but its charm fizzled out. After gaining the 2nd AL wild card, Tampa Bay lost its seventh consecutive postseason game. The Rays had a scoreless streak that reached 33 innings. To add to its misery, they had a below-sellout audience at Tropicana Field. Wednesday the attendance was 20,198, while Tuesday was an all-time low of 19,704. Is there even a possibility that the fans let this one slide?

One fan directly took a jab at their elimination, knowing they played only 2 games and 3 days more than the Yankees.

The fans highlighted more trash talk.

The low attendance at Tropicana Field did not go unnoticed by fans. One said, “40k FANS WERE THERE TO WITNESS IT

A fan highlighted Vladdy’s quote that said, “Last year was the trailer. Now you guys are going to see the movie”. But the end result was disastrous.
