Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez does not need any introduction. Whether it is about his professional life or personal life, the New York Yankees legend has always been a rockstar. Although A-Rod does not have any regret in his entire baseball career, he failed to hit a very important milestone in MLB.

With 696 home runs in his entire baseball career, Alex Rodriguez missed it by a whisker to enter the 700 home run club. As of now, only Barry Bonds, Babe Ruth, and Henry Aaron are the only three baseball players to smash over 700 home runs in Major League Baseball. The list will remain the same for quite a long time unless Albert Pujols shows his monster avatar this season.

Talking about Alex Rodriguez, the Yankees legend might regret not achieving this milestone for just four home runs. With an illustrious career that spanned over 20 years, A-Rod won every possible title in baseball. Once, he revealed whether he would have liked to enter the 700 home runs club.

Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez wanted to hit 700 home runs

Right from his MLB debut for the Miami Marlins to playing for the Texas Rangers and New York Yankees, Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez has enjoyed an illustrious baseball career that others can only dream of. However, when he was about to break a couple of historic records, his performance started to decline.

Had he played for one more season, the Yankees legend would have “definitely” achieved the milestone. When the interviewer asked him whether he would have liked to achieve ‘Mount Everest’ (700 HRs) in baseball, Alex Rodriguez said he had been in love with the game forever.

“I will admit 700 is very very tempting. It’s a big number. You play for a long time. I have been playing ever since I was three or four years old. I have been in love with the game forever,” A-Rod said in 2016.

“But if you ask me that question five years ago, the definite answer would have been a definite yes. And I would probably not be here right now…”

He said this in the same year (2016) he bid farewell to the game.
