The UFC will return to Abu Dhabi with UFC 267 on October 30. The card is slowly coming together as the UFC is announcing the matchups thick and fast. Jan Blachowicz and Glover Teixeira will headline the event in a light heavyweight title fight. Furthermore, another title fight in Petr Yan vs Aljamain Sterling will serve as the co-main event. Now, the latest addition to the fight card is a featherweight fight between Zubaira Tukhugov and Ricardo Ramos.

Tukhugov and Ramos were scheduled to fight at UFC Fight Night 187 in March. However, Tukhugov pulled out of the fight because of an undisclosed injury. Now, recent reports suggest that seven months on, the UFC has booked the fight once again. However, at this point in time, it has not been officially announced by the promotion.

Zubaira Tukhugov vs Ricardo Ramos- Preview

Tukhugov will be on the same card as his teammate Islam Makhachev, who will take on Rafael dos Anjos. The 30-year-old last fought in September 2020 at UFC 253 against Hakeem Dawodu, where he came up short. He has since not competed in the UFC, mainly because of injuries.

Tukhugov’s last win in the UFC came in February 2020 when he secured a TKO triumph over Kevin Aguilar. Hence, Tukhugov will be aiming to get back into the win column at UFC 267. This will be easier said than done, given that he is taking on a particularly tough assignment.

Ramos, who has been in the UFC since 2017, has fought eight times, putting together an impressive 6-2 record. He is 3-1 in his last four fights, with a loss against Lerone Murphy sandwiched between three wins. In his most recent outing, he secured a unanimous decision win over Bill Algeo. Moving ahead, he will be confident against a fighter who has had a mixed bag of results.
