Dana White Reveals UFC Sold Two Tickets Worth of $250k for Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier Trilogy

UFC 264 featuring Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier in the headliner was the biggest event till now in 2021 and the second biggest in UFC’s entire history. Such was the craze for the event that the tickets in the front row were like New York’s sky scrappers. How much? Well, Dana White revealed in an interview.
The UFC supremo became the first guest on the episode of ‘Full Send Podcast‘. YouTube and Instagram stars, Kyle Forgeard and Bob Menery, hosted the show in the war room of the UFC headquarters. The trio discussed a lot of topics, ranging from common subjects to big ones.

While they were discussing, Bob and Kyle raised a topic about the massiveness of UFC 264. The event had witnessed some of the biggest celebrities the American soil has seen, including the likes of former US President Donald Trump, singer Justin Bieber, Megan Fox, Paul brothers, and many more.
These celebs were sitting in the front rows and had to shed out some huge bucks to get a seat. “So, the tickets you guys were sitting, two sold for $250k. Combined. Together,” he said.
On being asked if UFC was at an all-time peak, White said, “100%… Poirier v McGregor fight was the second biggest UFC fight of all time. The number one being Khabib and Conor.”

While the event had some good fights, the main event had a rather tame ending. The Irishman, who got dominated for most of the round by Poirier, snapped his leg in the dying seconds of the first round. Thus, Poirier won via TKO (doctor stoppage).
Dana White speaks on Conor’s return date
McGregor had surgery the next morning after snapping his leg. The surgery was successful, but the Irishman got ruled out for at least a year before making an octagon appearance. White, who appeared for an interview with The Pat McAfee Show, detailed more into that.

“As far as I’m concerned, Conor is out for a year,” White explained. “The doctor said it will be nine months before he starts training again, we’re looking at it as a year. I’m not even thinking about it.” (via Marca)
