UFC icon and eternal spotlight holder Conor McGregor is gearing up for one of the most important matches of his career. The ‘Notorious’ one will headline UFC 264 for the trilogy bout against a rampaging Dustin Poirier.
In the last few years, McGregor’s appearance inside the octagon has reduced compared to his early years in the promotion. But while his appearances may have reduced, his bank balance has increased even more in this duration.
He is the highest-paid athlete for the year 2021, according to Forbes. His fame and persona have reached a height that we can inarguably call him the most famous MMA fighter of all time.

In a recent video, uploaded on the Twitter platform of UFC, he detailed in brief about these ventures.
“How many businesses do I own? I own a fight business, I own the whiskey business. I own fashion business. The fitness business,” he said.

“I have put in a lot of work on the things I’m passionate about. There are some great things in the pipeline. Some exciting things for our fans, from the fight aspect, from the whiskey aspect, from the famous aspect and of course from the building of fashion aspect. I have a couple of good businesses,” he concluded.
Dan Hardy gives his insights on Conor McGregor
Former UFC welterweight fighter Dan Hardy gave his thoughts on McGregor (22-5). The Englishman thinks the Irishman could get complacent if people around him talk about his riches every time.
“And that’s the danger with McGregor,” he said on submission radio. “Cause everybody around him is kissing his ass because he’s got $100 bills falling out of his pockets. Like everybody’s gonna be nice to him.”

“Everyone’s gonna be complimentary of him and tell him how good he is. And how unlucky he was in that last fight against (Dustin) Poirier because if he’d just landed that left hand, Poirier would have been starched again.”
He added, “You know if you hear that rhetoric everyday, it doesn’t matter how realistic you are on yourself. You do become kind of ‘indoctrinated’ with your own self-worth. And that could be a danger in this fight as well.”

McGregor certainly needs to be at his best at UFC 264. Poirier had exposed his weakness at UFC 257 and will look to build on that in the upcoming fight.
