Lately, Hendrick Motorsports really seem to be having a nightmarish time. One after the other, the team is having drivers sidelined due to back-to-back injuries. Then there’s the $550,000 worth of penalties. And last Sunday, the team witnessed in shock and disbelief the horrific crash involving Kyle Larson and his rival Ryan Preece in Talladega.

Now with his teammate out of this week’s race at the Dover International Speedway, Larson shared his thoughts about an impending disaster headed his way!

Recently, Larson shared his thoughts about the brutal wreck at the superspeedway while mentioning how he luckily escaped a dire situation.

Days after getting brutally T-boned by Preece in Talladega, the #5 driver recalled the horror. He talked about his teammate Alex Bowman getting ruled out for 3–4 weeks as he sustained serious injuries after an accident in a sprint race. Reacting to these unfortunate events, Larson felt like this week is certainly “emotional” for a usually reserved person like him.

Speaking in an exclusive by the NASCAR enthusiast, Nathan Solomon, the ace Hendrick Motorsports driver revealed his thoughts.

“I honestly think this week is this week was very emotional, I guess. I’m not an emotional person but when you really sit back and think about it, yeah,” said the driver. Larson further added how grateful he was after the race in Talladega, “I mean like I could’ve been very seriously been myself hurt on Sunday. Thankfully, you know, I wasn’t.”

Further, Larson mentioned people reaching out to check on him while predicting an inevitable episode coming for him. “Denny was texting me this week and I appreciate the concern but they all say odds will eventually catch up to guys like me who race dirt. But yeah, I feel like the odds are more going to catch up to me eventually on a superspeedway,” said the ace speedster.

Recalling the destruction he had witnessed during his years, Larson proved his point by listing various ill incidents that he has been involved in at superspeedways, with last week’s wreck with his nemesis, Ryan Preece being the latest episode.
