“That was one of those moments that kind of takes you back, honestly. You are reminded that all that really happened and all that was real,” Elliott said with a big smile, during a recent media interaction.
The 25-year-old felt ‘really cool’ and ‘privileged’ when he wore the suit for the first time.
“Kind of crazy, but it was really cool putting on that suit today and doing the meetings and all the virtual stuff we did today. It’s an honor for sure and definitely a privilege to have that badge,” he added.

Such moments are highly motivating for any athlete. For Elliott, running future NASCAR races in his no. 9 car at Hendrick Motorsports with the word ‘champion’ permanently etched on his uniform would push him further in his efforts to defend the title.

The NASCAR champ’s dedication and willingness to improve his skill set is quite evident with his recent exploits soon after winning his maiden Cup title. Elliott did not rest even after a stressful end to the season, participating in various other racing disciplines.
In the past few weeks, he took part in the Snowball Derby and the iconic Chili Bowl dirt racing event. Now, he participates in another prestigious event, the Rolex 24 hours endurance race at Daytona.
NASCAR’s most popular driver believes these races will help him learn more about racing in general and become a better racer. He plans to translate those experiences and learnings into further success in the NASCAR Cup Series.
