He even went on to say, “Amy enjoys the High Rock.” Amy herself chimed in, playfully adding, “Who doesn’t?”

It was a candid moment that showcased the couple’s partnership not only in business but also in sharing their love for a finely crafted spirit.

Typically, a ride-along with a former top NASCAR driver promises thrills, but in this case, it ended with an unexpected scare. The passenger in question was none other than Amy Earnhardt, Dale’s wife. The incident unfolded at Bristol Motor Speedway, a high-speed and challenging track. Junior was driving a two-seater race car capable of reaching near-race speeds. As they navigated the track, something unexpected happened.

“My wife probably… Last year we were at Bristol,” he recalled. “In a two-seater very good capable car. Hendrick has a two-seater that is set up well and you can get up to pretty good speeds. I think we were running within a second of race speeds. I mean, it was a really good lap time that we were running. At Bristol you can run up against the wall and all those things in the corner. It has some of that PJ1 down at the bottom.

“I was running on the racetrack and put the left sides off the turn 4 and the PJ1, and the car just turns sideways,” Dale Earnhardt Jr recounted. It was a hair-raising moment as the car went momentarily out of control. Amy, seated beside him, reacted with frantic hand gestures and vocalized her fear. Junior slowed the car and brought it safely onto the pit road. “I slow down come down pit-road and she gets out and goes, ‘Y’all Are Crazy’… For doing this, that you wanna do this. You’ve done this all these years, you’re a maniac.”
