Back in 2018 at the Chicagoland Speedway, there was a moment for Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson. At the time, the two were battling for the race lead on the final lap. Just then, Larson pulled off a last gasp move, but could not unseat Busch, who went on to win the race. A year later, the two of them revisited the incident with Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Busch said, “It was happening so slow. I was like, ‘He’s not doing it’. So I just gassed it and just tried to get that run back off the corner, in order to drive back by him as fast as I could.”

What have Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson been up to since then?

Since then, Busch and Larson have snatched the 2019 and 2021 Cup Series titles, respectively. For the 2022 season though, only Larson is in contention, because Busch was eliminated in the first round of the Playoffs.

Currently, Larson lies 6th in the standings and looks relatively safe for the next round of the Playoffs. However, he will definitely want to try ans bag a win like his teammate Chase Elliott.

On Kyle Busch’s end, he will be eager to finish his Joe Gibbs Racing career on a high note.

From 2023 onwards, he will start a brand new chapter with Richard Childress Racing, driving the #8 car. Without a doubt, it will be a challenge for the driver, as he will be stepping into a brand new environment.
