The 2021 NASCAR season is upon us, and only in a matter of weeks, the famed Daytona 500 will be underway. Commentating on the same for Fox Sports will be NASCAR legend Jeff Gordon, alongside a new guest in seasoned campaigner, Clint Bowyer.
Recently, the Fox Sports Production team released a commercial for the promotion of the upcoming NASCAR season, with a special emphasis on the Daytona 500 race. Gordon took to Instagram and shared the video while also tagging Bowyer in the post.
Gordon’s post read, “It’s getting closer! Who’s ready for 2021 @NASCAR racing? Looking forward to this season & having @ClintBowyer in the booth with Mike Joy & I. Should be…interesting and a whole lot of fun!”

Both Jeff Gordon and Clint Bowyer have spent most of their careers racing in the Cup Series
The post comes as a follow-up on the official news that had arrived a couple of months back. It was announced back in October 2020 that Bowyer would leave Stewart-Haas Racing to take up a role in the commentary booth.
Bowyer had earlier stated in a heartfelt letter, “Thank you to every sponsor that has invested in me and thank you to every fan who has cheered me along the way! Opportunity … FOX here I come!”

Last featuring in the 2016 Cup Series season, Gordon has since spent his time in a senior executive role at Hendrick Motorsports. The 49-year-old has also served his broadcasting duties as an analyst.
Both Bowyer and Gordon also have tremendous experience racing in the ‘Great American Race’ that is the Daytona 500 event. Whilst the former has a best finish of fourth, Gordon has previously won it on three occasions.

As one can see from the commercial, the natural focus laid on Denny Hamlin, who currently reigns as the Daytona 500 winner. Drivers will have to bring their A-game if they are looking to beat the Joe Gibbs Racing No.11 to the event’s crown.
But from a big picture perspective, the Cup Series season promises freshness and changes across drivers, personnel, and teams. The likes of Kevin Harvick, Joey Logano, and Chase Elliott will start off as contenders, ahead of what could be a frenetic 2021 Cup Series campaign.
