It’s not a surprise that Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan are good friends. Well, they are business partners, running the 23XI Racing together. But an unknown element of their friendship came to light as Hamlin boasted his crazy sneaker collection.

Obviously, the fans were left with their jaws on the floor when they saw his collection. Especially his Air Jordan fleet of Air Jordan 1s.

Hamlin posted a reel with the viral audio questioning how much he paid for the item he’s showing off, where they insist they got it for free. Well, he might have gotten some shoes as gifts from his business partner. But a good amount of his collection seems to be a result of his painstaking and wallet-breaking process of collecting.

But the part that got the most attention was one entire section of his wall was dedicated to just Air Jordan 1s. Of course, that wall sits between many other shoes.

The surprised fans underscored the AJ1s as they said, “Bro that AJ1 collection 🥵🥵🥵😩😩😩😩😩😩”, while some requested a shoe collection tour, “Just casually has an entire section of his wall dedicated to jordan 1’s 🥲😭 can we please get a shoe room tour 🫠”

Some fans were just as surprised by the collection as they wondered, “Not gonna lie didn’t no Denny was into kicks but what’s ur favorite Jordan 1s? 4s? Ect. And what ur favorite color”, while others wanted to add some 23XI Jordans to their collections too, “Denny, can you talk to MJ and your sponsors about releasing some 23XI themed Jordan’s? That’d be awesome”, “When we going to get some nascar shoes?”

Denny Hamlin is reaping the rewards of being Michael Jordan’s partner

Hamlin is a Jordan Brand athlete, which is a well-known fact at this point. But seeing his insane collection raises some questions. Because how many privileges does he get? Well, luckily, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver revealed some of the benefits in a 2016 interview with Complex Magazine.

Denny said, “I get my monthly shipment which is really, really good. It’s good to get things a month in advance before they come out. It’s cool, I’ve got them on my suit, my shoes, my gloves. When you meet the celebrities who come out to the races for the weekend, you shake their hands and I’m the only guy with the Jordan logo. And they say to me, “Oh man, Jordan Brand, that’s cool.” It’s because it’s out of the realm of what people perceive Jordan Brand to do.”
