Who would have thought that a 24-year-old from Dawsonville would go on to lift the 2020 Cup Series title? Many rated Chase Elliott to go far, but not as a serious title contender in a race that involved the likes of Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski.
However, it was Elliott in the end and he definitely deserved to win the title. All that, while maintaining a humble and straightforward personality with minimal fuss and hassles.

Earnhardt Jr is quoted as saying, “You probably have experienced this many times in your life when you know somebody, you know that they’re a really good person and you see them succeed. It’s a good feeling because you like to see good things happen to good people.”
Dale Earnhardt Jr certainly believes that a driver like Chase Elliott stands for everything that is good about NASCAR. As he goes onto mention ahead, it was nice to see a racer with the ‘good guy’ tag ultimately win the top prize.
“There’s so many things about Chase being the champion that are positives. It’s amazing for the sport. I believe in the health of the sport, I want the sport to be healthy. I want whatever needs to happen to boost the sport, to lift the sport.”
