“We’d Kill Somebody” – Bubba Wallace Gets Extremely Furious After a Dangerous Safety Crisis at Martinsville
Martinsville was a good day at the office for Bubba Wallace as he secured a finish inside the top 10, his second of the season and a good result overall in a year where inconsistency has plagued his race results. But the day didn’t go all happy and jolly for Wallace.
Yes, there was the incident with his own boss, Denny Hamlin, that saw fans defending him instead of hating on him as he hit the #11 a few times from the back.
But there was also a moment towards the end of the race in which the #23 driver lost his calm and called out NASCAR for not taking action in due time considering the danger on the track.

Bubba Wallace loses his cool during the Martinsville race
During lap 308, Anthony Alfredo, driver of the #78, hit the fence which led to his right rear tire coming off while his car stalled at Turn 4. This brought out the fourth caution of the race.
But perhaps the flag wasn’t thrown soon enough considering there was a loose tire on the track, and had any other car hit it under the green flag, it could’ve had very serious consequences that Wallace pointed to.
“There’s a tire in the *expletive* restart zone! If we hit one of those things we’d kill somebody,” he said on the radio.

During the Martinsville Truck race, Carson Hocevar was handed a two-lap penalty for right-hooking fellow driver Tanner Gray during the race. This offense was pretty similar in essence to that of Wallace from last year at Las Vegas.

But the difference was, instead of a two lap penalty, Wallace got handed a one-race suspension, which he made sure he called out recently.
In an interaction with the media ahead of the Cup race at Martinsville, Wallace was asked by a reporter if he’d seen the Hocevar-Gray incident from the Truck race and what his thoughts were on the two-lap penalty.

“I went fishing on my weekend off … seen it, and yeah, bad deal, so talk about being consistent, speeds don’t matter because I don’t care if its 180 or whatever, it’s still the right rear,” he said.
