In the video, he released an inspirational advertisement pertaining to his Adidas deal. The video starts with Lillard boxing and then making a between-the-legs dribble and making a jumper. It details the rest of his workout, dominated by boxing. We see the Guard’s intense eyes and full concentration through the drills.

While this plays, Lillard in a weighty voice narrates, “I came to peace with adversity just by experiencing it. If you never see adversity, then you’re probably not moving towards anything. When I was growing up, there was no being sheltered. I was in an environment where you had to survive in them. Nobody is going to be there to hold your hand through it. I feel like I was made to be resilient.

After the narrative closes, the logo of Adidas flashes on the screen.

No holding back Dame

The amazing shooter hails from a poverty-stricken region in Oakland, California. Life is vulnerable in such sections. That is why he said, “there was no being sheltered”. Amidst these circumstances, he didn’t have an illustrious high school career. He was just a two-star recruit and signed with an obscure Weber State program. However, he kept grinding his way.

Therefore, he is well-equipped to deal with his current fuzzy situation. He has shown patience thus far and so has the Portland Trail Blazers that drafted him sixth in 2012.
