As the 2023 NBA season approaches, the Philadelphia 76ers stay amidst conflicting emotions. It began with James Harden’s stance of leaving the organization and heightened when Harden was in China. On his visit, he publicly claimed that he wanted nothing to do with the 76ers anymore. Furthermore, he didn’t mince words, labeling 76ers’ general manager Daryl Morey as a “liar.” Despite his desire to part ways, Harden and Philly have yet to come to a common ground.

Right now, Harden remains under contract for another year. With training camp nearing, Harden will have to be available for Philly. Harden will have to attend training camp

James Harden has a knack when it comes to playing hardball. Currently discontented with the 76ers, he has successfully engineered his departure from two previous teams. Nevertheless, to date, Daryl Morey has refused to yield to Harden’s demands. Now, for any hope of a mutually beneficial resolution, both sides must collaborate. Unfortunately, it can only be initiated by Harden. His most promising opportunity to secure a fair trade deal hinges on his participation in the training camp. Not only will it keep him under the new rules, but it could also prompt teams across the league to submit trade offers. There are a lot of question marks surrounding the Beard; showcasing his caliber can help him receive his desired demands
