Yesterday, the NBA officially reinstated Draymond Green back into the roster after serving a 12-game suspension. However, in a recent episode of the Draymond Green Show, the Warriors’ veteran suggested that he could have retired. But in the end, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver talked him out of making such a rash decision.

In an emotional conversation, Green said, “I told him, ‘Adam this is too much for me. … This is too much. It’s all becoming too much for me — and I’m going to retire.’ And Adam said, ‘You’re making a very rash decision and I won’t let you do that.’” Green further added by saying, “We had a long, great conversation — very helpful to me. Very thankful to play in a league with a commissioner like Adam who’s more about helping you than hurting you; helping you than punishing you. He’s more about the players.”

This season, the Golden State Warriors have been uncharacteristically poor. Despite the best efforts of Stephen Curry, the Warriors languish outside of even a Play-In spot. Currently, they occupy the 11th spot in the Western Conference standings, having won 17 games and losing another 19 games. Furthermore, key players like Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins have witnessed a significant slump in their performances and production.
