Vanderbilt became LeBron James’ teammate in the middle of last season after Rob Pelinka decided to split the Big 3 of King James, AD, and Russ. The 24-year-old proved to be a great addition to the Lakers squad, helping Bron and Co reach the Western Conference Finals.

Following the contract extension of Jarred Vanderbilt, veteran ESPN analyst picked King James and the Lakers to lift the Larry O’Brien trophy at the end of this season.

Apart from re-signing Vanderbilt, Rob Pelinka made many significant moves this summer. He extended the contracts of young stars Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, and D’Angelo Russell, keeping the young Lakers core intact for the long term.
