Kawhi Leonard isn’t someone who shows a lot of emotions both on and off the court. For instance, in one of the previous games of the Clippers, the star dropped 41 points and picked up the mic for the post-game interview. The interviewer did all she could to get out the answers and managed to bring out a smile at the end of the interview. Immediately, it left the commentators startled to witness the rare smile.

Is Ohtani’s contract worth the hype?

Of course, the number $700 million took center stage and everyone went gaga about the deal. But the implications of the contract make it an understatement. ESPNJeff Passan reported that 97% of the total amount is deferred, which means $680 million is deferred. Moreover, the star would get paid $2 million at the end of every season for 10 years, followed by $68 million every 10 years.

Importantly, this led to whether Ohtani would benefit or not. The debate has already begun among the fans on social media platforms.
