The Pacers have had a good run this season, ranking seventh in the Eastern Conference.

The 23-year-old guard also seems to have made his way into the fans’ hearts. With the NBA All-Star voting still underway, Tyrese has emerged as the leading name in the East guards.

He took to Instagram to share his happiness at being the recipient of so much love with three words – “Y’all are amazing!”

He has received 2,728,973 votes till now and that’s already a full 900,000 more than the second-placed Trae Young. The third fan returns and it seems that Haliburton might very well be on the way to his second consecutive All-Star game.

Haliburton is averaging 23.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 12.5 assists per game this season. So there is no doubt that he would be a valuable asset in the Eastern Conference team. So until the final names are announced, let’s take a look at the details of the All-Star game.

NBA All-Star Game details

With the NBA All-Star Weekend announced to take place from February 16 to 18, the voting period will close on January 20. While tonight was the final fan update, the NBA will announce the game starters next Thursday (25th). The reserves for the game, though, will only be made known to the public on the first of February via TNT NBA tip-off.

Fans contribute to 50% of voting while current players and a select few media representatives get 25% of voting rights each. The reserves are also decided based on voting. But that’s exclusively limited to head coaches. Each conference can have up to seven reserves and the coaches do not have the luxury of voting for their own players.

As is usual with the All-Star games, there will be celebrity involvement and halftime shows. Along with this, the All-Star Game is back to the Eastern Conference vs Western Conference format. And the 24-point Elam Ending will also be removed, as was announced by Commissioner Silver in October last year.

The All-Star Game is set to take place in Indianapolis at the Gainbridge Field House on the 18th. This will be Indiana’s second time hosting an All-Star game; the last was in 1985 at the Hoosier Dome. This time, Indiana has taken it up a notch getting the entire state to actively partake in the event by introducing knockout competitions. This will happen during select high school boys’ and girls’ basketball games.
