The 18-year-old is said to have abruptly collapsed on the court before USC’s medical staff rushed in to aid James. Likewise, he was immediately rushed to the hospital, where further treatment took place.

The incident was scary and had the NBA world praying for the All-American guard. As Bronny James recovers, the power of the NBA fraternity was on full display.

Bronny James suffers from a cardiac arrest

Only two months ago, the James household was bellowing in celebrations. Bronny James, an All-American product had become the first of the family to attend college. Amongst the crowd of colleges, he picked the USC Trojans as his team. The 18-year-old joined forces with Isaiah Collier and DJ Rodman.

On Monday, the former Sierra Canyon star attended the usual team practice. However, the most tragic news unfolded right after. Shams Charania revealed the dreadful update. James had suffered a cardiac arrest, collapsing on the floor. The USC medical staff could stabilize James and get him treatment at a nearby hospital.

Thankfully, he is now in stable condition, as clarified by a James household spokesperson statement, Charania reiterated.

“Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information,”

Both LeBron James and Savannah are yet to release any statement on the given matter. Bronny James is out of the ICU. However, even though he is out of danger, James is likely to be kept under close observation for a few weeks. It might also need him to take a break from college basketball.
