Parents on Duty, Lebron James & Savannah’s Incognito Efforts Fail at Son Bronny’s USC Game

February 8 saw Bronny shunning Cal fans with an amazing 3-pointer, who were constantly booing him during gameplay as well. But can these efforts get him to the coming NBA draft? Despite his injury status being “questionable” against the Denver Nuggets, LeBron James and Savannah were there to ensure their son, Bronny, knows they are always there for him.
Despite their best efforts to stay under the radar, it’s safe to say that they failed. Of course, it isn’t easy to mask their presence. King James was spotted at the courtside cheering for Bronny in the sold-out Pac-12 game.

With uncertainties looming regarding King’s eldest son’s NBA debut, and James’ determination to play with his son, it seems like the King is making sure Bronny will be ready if a door opens. Bronny played wonderfully well, receiving support and encouragement from fans, especially after his cardiac arrest scare last summer. His clearance to play came in November 2023, after which he made his collegiate debut.

The freshman guard is averaging some modest numbers. 5.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 37.2% field goal shooting. Somehow, it still does not sit well with many, with them thinking the hype around him does not hold much value. Many stories come up, some from Gilbert Arenas himself, who recounts his training period with the young James.
But the reality is Bronny will always carry the weight of his father’s legacy. This brings up the most important question – Will Bronny get drafted in the NBA come draft season?
Can Bronny make it to the NBA and fulfill the wish of LeBron James?
With Bron wreaking havoc on X with his cryptic tweets referring to New York, another topic that simultaneously got the attention once more was Bronny’s NBA debut. Fans were offering good-natured advice to the Lakers to draft Bronny James to come hell or high water if they wanted the 4x champion to stay put.
But given the mediocre season his son is having, former NBA player Chandler Parsons has a different take on the whole scenario. And it’s probably what many are thinking. Joining the Run It Back Show, Parsons said, “There is no way with the season that (Bronny) is having, he would declare for the draft and leave it up to luck. If he does declare, then he has a guarantee and we know where LeBron James is going.”

The former Hawks guard, Lou Williams, said that doing so would be tampering with the league’s rules and regulations. To which Parsons, diplomatically, replied, “Call it what you want,” effectively pulling himself out of a potential controversy in the future.

Undoubtedly, LeBron James will do everything to make sure his son is playing to the best of his abilities. And we all know just how intelligent King James is, on and off the court. But whether he will go to the extent that Parsons referred to; that is quite a heavy take.
