Kyrie Saddened by the War

Tensions escalated between Israel and Palestine when Hamas (a Palestinian fundamentalist and nationalist organization) infiltrated Israeli borders on October 7th. On October 8th, Israeli PM, Benjamin Netanyahu formally declared war on Hamas. The Israeli military looked to force militants out of their country. The death toll for the conflict has crossed 1,100 people, as both countries continue to bomb each other.

Fingers crossed emoji and a peace sign accompanied the post. Many NBA franchises like the Dallas Mavericks and the Miami Heat took to social media to show their solidarity with the people of Israel.

The Mavericks put out a statement on Twitter that said, “The Dallas Mavericks stand with Israel and continue to pray for peace in our world”.
