The NBA World is waiting to find out who the Milwaukee Bucks will hire as their new head coach. The Bucks fired head coach Adrian Griffin after just 43 games despite the team being 2nd in the Eastern Conference standings. Following Griffin’s shocking exit, news broke out about Doc Rivers accepting the role of the new Bucks head coach. However, it was later revealed that the reports were false, and no deal had been finalized between Rivers and the Bucks.

Unfortunately, Shaquille O’Neal and Co. did not get the memo about the fake news and reported it live on TNT. NBA on TNT Tuesday host Adam Lefkoe cited CNN Sports as the source of the news and reported that Doc Rivers was the new Bucks head coach. The esteemed panel of Shaquille O’Neal, Candace Parker, and Jamal Crawford followed the news with their opinion on the Bucks’ new signing.

Fans brutally trolled the TNT panel as they fell victim to the fake Doc Rivers news. One fan wrote, “Holy sh*t. TNT and CNN is getting bodied by their own dude from Bleacher Report.” after Bleacher Report’s Jordan Schultz confirmed the news to be fake. The NBA world followed suit.

Fans questioned how something like this happens when everyone involved is a Turner employee.

Fans also questioned the legitimacy of CNN Sports and trolled the network.

While Simon Sports also had his views to expressing, saying, “also hearing the same thing from my source, National Geographic Sports”.

Truly hilarious reactions coming in from many after the Shaq faux-pas! But it keeps us all intrigued to know who exactly is going to coach the Bucks.

Although the news about Doc Rivers agreeing to a deal with the Milwaukee Bucks was false, it is likely to become a reality soon. According to reports, both parties are interested in the offer, and Rivers might fill the vacant head coaching position. In case that happens, Rivers can help Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. get ready to win a championship. The Bucks are ranked 21st in the league in defensive rating this season. They are missing the presence of their former defensive anchor, Jrue Holiday. Rivers can help the Bucks overcome that hurdle, as he is known for being a defensive mindset coach. He is also used to dealing with multiple superstars on a team and can help the productivity of Giannis and Dame.
