Curry’s ability to control the game

While talking with The Morning Roast, Payne explained a trait about Curry that sets him apart from the rest. He said, “Right now he has a command over the game of basketball that that I’ve never seen before.” The Golden Boy has been playing for over 14 years now. Over the years, he has accumulated a specific set of skills which puts at an advantage over others. Being a versatile player, he has the ability to dictate the tempo of the game and create endless scoring opportunities.

Brandon also added, “He’s not just controlling himself, he has control over the other nine guys on the floor too”. And this is very important because it gives Steph the ability to chart the narrative of the game.

Why Stephen Curry is simply the best

Curry is committed to train himself. And Michael Porter Jr. believes that’s the reason for his excellence. Having trained with him, Porter shared, “I think that the defining character with Steph is his pace. The way he works out in the drills, is all about getting himself as tired as possible so he can shoot when he’s tired.” He added that some drills that people do in half length of the court, Curry does it in full – twice. And then he has to make 9/10!

This unflinching commitment to his craft is possibly the reason why Steph is at the top. A further proof of this is an anecdote that Brandon shared in an earlier interview. He shared that the All-Star came into practice after a long day of meetings. Despite being exhausted, he refused to call it a night until he had perfected everything.
