Suns’ Kevin Durant Has a New Struggle, Days After Putting “Frustration” Rumors to Bed

Kevin Durant has been in elite form throughout the season. With his co-stars Devin Booker and Bradley Beal missing time due to injury, KD kept the Phoenix Suns afloat until their return. However, there were rumors about Durant being frustrated because of the way the Suns were playing in Booker and Beal’s absence. The 2-time Champion was not pleased with the baseless rumors and put them to bed via a lengthy statement on social media.
Days after dealing with the “Frustration” rumors, Kevin Durant ran into a new struggle amid injury woes.

The Phoenix Suns played the last game against the Portland Trail Blazers without their superstar Kevin Durant. KD was ruled out of the game due to right hamstring soreness. Suns head coach Frank Vogel revealed that KD’s status is day-to-day, and he is expected to return soon. But while Durant was recovering from his hamstring injury, he found a new struggle. This time, it was on NBA 2K. “Missin shots in the rec on 2k slightly disrupts the mood…its slight tho.” Durant wrote on X. His NBA 2K struggle comes days after he shut down the rumors about him being frustrated in Phoenix.

NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported a few days earlier that people in the Suns organization have noticed KD being visibly frustrated because of the Suns’ recent struggles. The rumor caught fire when Durant had an off night against the Dallas Mavericks, and the Suns lost the game.

Durant was fed up with the rumors about him and shut them down with a comment on Instagram. He called out Woj while replying to a troll comment and claimed that the rumor was a “flat-out lie”.

Kevin Durant and Co. are finally gaining stride
After a slow start to the season, Kevin Durant and Co. finally seem to have found their rhythm. Bradley Beal is fully healthy and back in the lineup after missing multiple games due to an ankle injury. Devin Booker has been playing at an All-Star level since his return. Phoenix is on a 4-game winning streak since losing to the Mavs. They have moved to the 8th spot in the Western Conference standings with an 18-15 record.

When KD returns to the line-up after fully recovering from his hamstring injury, the Suns can finally play at full strength. They will face the in-form Los Angeles Clippers in the next game, and the Suns will need the firepower of KD to get past the Clippers’ Big 4.
