The Indiana Pacers have been one of the most fun and entertaining teams to watch this season. Their offensive verve and intensity have consistently enabled them to deliver exceptional performances. The man orchestrating Indiana’s stellar performances is Tyrese Haliburton. The 23-year-old point guard has quickly established himself as one of the best floor generals in the league.
His incredible playmaking has earned him comparisons with 2x league MVP, Steve Nash. However, fans drew comparisons between him and the late great Kobe Bryant following one of his recent plays. In the Pacers’ 111-125 win over the Knicks, Haliburton used the backboard to rebound the ball to himself before passing it to a wide-open teammate for an easy basket. In a strange coincidence, Kobe Bryant performed an identical play against the same opponents and that too on the same date (10th February). When this strange coincidence became public knowledge, Tyrese Haliburton reacted by expressing his amazement, stating, “That’s crazy.”
