The Indiana Pacers have been one of the most fun and entertaining teams to watch this season. Their offensive verve and intensity have consistently enabled them to deliver exceptional performances. The man orchestrating Indiana’s stellar performances is Tyrese Haliburton. The 23-year-old point guard has quickly established himself as one of the best floor generals in the league.

His incredible playmaking has earned him comparisons with 2x league MVP, Steve Nash. However, fans drew comparisons between him and the late great Kobe Bryant following one of his recent plays. In the Pacers’ 111-125 win over the Knicks, Haliburton used the backboard to rebound the ball to himself before passing it to a wide-open teammate for an easy basket. In a strange coincidence, Kobe Bryant performed an identical play against the same opponents and that too on the same date (10th February). When this strange coincidence became public knowledge, Tyrese Haliburton reacted by expressing his amazement, stating, “That’s crazy.”

Fans were left in awe of Haliburton’s incredible play, with many expressing their amazement on social media. Actor Grant Gustin, famous for portraying “The Flash,” even posted a story on Instagram about Haliburton’s impressive move against the Knicks, captioning it with “Tyrese Haliburton, bro.”

Fans aren’t the only ones who have recognized Tyrese’s exceptional form this season. Coaches and journalists have also taken note of his immense performances for the Pacers. That’s why he became an All-Star starter at the tender age of 23. Players of Haliburton’s caliber and quality are few and far between in the NBA. Thus, it’s imperative for the Pacers to capitalize on this opportunity. However, is Haliburton capable of leading the Pacers to the promised land of an NBA title?

The Pacers also possess exciting young players like Benedict Mathurin, Jalen Smith and Isaiah Jackson, who could blossom into future stars, or at the least become good role players.
