The birth of a child in a couple’s life is always a momentous occasion. Stephen Curry and his wife Ayesha Curry experienced this very special moment in 2012 with the birth of their first child, Riley Elizabeth Curry. After the couple’s wedding in 2011, they have enjoyed a wonderful married life, also welcoming three kids. However, Ayesha Curry may never forget the birth of their third child.

Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry have shown their love and affection towards their kids on several occasions. The couple have often stated their kids’ importance in their lives and how they have influenced their life for the better. However, their initial days as parents of their two daughters proved very difficult for the two. Then came their first son that changed everything for the couple. Turns out, Ayesha was more than elated about their son’s arrival.

Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry shared a surreal experience as they welcomed their first child, Riley. They then experienced a similar moment as they welcomed their second daughter, Ryan in 2015. However, Ryan’s initial medical situation took the couple aback. After dealing with the scary situation, the Currys finally welcomed their first son, Canon Wardell Jack Curry. Ayesha Curry seemed over the moon after her son’s arrival.

Ayesha divulged her experience of welcoming a son after having two daughters in the house. She spoke on the 4-time champion’s sister, Sydel Lee-Curry on her podcast about this blissful experience.

“That’s a labor I’ll never forget. So emotional, I was so happy to have a boy and I was like, I remember he came, I was like ‘there’s a p*n*s, oh my god, it’s real’,” she said, expressing her joy of having her first son.

She then went on to mention how Canon changed the family’s life upon his arrival. “He’s such a blessing to our family, he’s such a flirt…..he’s real bad too. That male energy, brace yourselves. And the grandparents, nobody cares. They’ll just spoil him right on with his little naughty stuff, feeding into it…”

Needless to say, the couple’s first son, Canon changed their lives. Stephen Curry and Ayesha have both often stated his importance and influence in their individual lives. In fact, Curry’s international fame has caught on to the 5-year-old too. Canon Curry has now become one of the most popular figures in the basketball world at a mere age of five due to his father’s global image.

Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry welcomed Canon in 2018, right after Curry secured his third NBA ring. Since then, the 5-year-old has been omnipresent in the couple’s lives. From visiting his father’s games to joining his mother on philanthropic endeavors, Canon has done it all.

The Golden State Warriors guard has always brought Canon to the Chase Center to watch his games. In fact, he also has access to the 2-time MVP’s press conferences and pre-game workouts. Canon also famously attended a game on his father’s shoulder which made fans reminisce Stephen Curry’s moment with his father, Dell. Most recently, the 5-year-old stole the show on Curry’s brand-new documentary as he made a hilarious appearance.
