Indiana Pacers faced off against the New York Knicks in their last matchup. The Pacers ended up losing the game by a three-point margin. However, what made the headlines was Pacers center, Myles Turner. The 26-year-old not only arrived in dripping style but may have excelled at cosplay for ‘Star Wars Night’ at the Gain Bridge Fieldhouse. Now, fans are begging the front office to protect Turner at all costs.

Though the Pacers lost to the Knicks 109-106, Myles Turner still managed to put a smile on fans’ faces. Especially fans of the beloved Star Wars franchise. Despite Turner having a terrible game, fans still want the Pacers’ front office to give him an extension.

Myles Turner went the extra mile

Myles Turner came into the arena with three other characters from Star Wars. Turner dressed up as Boba Fett with a woman dressed as Ahsoka dressed next to him. He also had a young Yoda in a satchel that he carried with him.

Fans were hyped to see him dressing up for Star Wars night. Some went onto Twitter to express their love for him. One fan tweeted, “I love it. The NBA’s biggest nerd.” Here are some reactions from Twitter:

Almost every fan loved to see Turner going a step extra for Star Wars night while some still called him out over his game.

However, this wasn’t the first time Turner dressed up as a character from Star Wars. Last year the Pacers center arrived at the arena dressed as Darth Vader with two Storm Troopers following him in the background.

Turner linked with LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers

Myles Turner has often been linked with LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers had also shown keen interest in trading for the Texas product. Turner has the ability to do a little bit of everything on the floor.

He is a great rebounder and shot blocker. Players often think twice before challenging him in the paint. And he can also stretch the floor with his three-point shooting along with being a great shooter from the mid-range.

Myles had signed a four-year $80 million deal in the 2019-20 season. After this year, he will be a free agent. And that is why fans are begging the Pacers’ management to extend his contract before he joins another team.
