With an 8-9 record for the season, the Brooklyn Nets are all set to go up against the Philadelphia 76ers in their next matchup. And even though Kyrie Irving is back with the team, what is perhaps more anticipated is Ben Simmons’ return to Philadelphia. And Simmons already knows what’s in store for him when he goes to Philly.
The Nets are currently on a two-game winning streak and would like to build up on that. The return of Kyrie Irving has been a blessing for Brooklyn as the season continues. The Nets could really use all the help they can get to turn around their season record.

Ben Simmons coming in prepared
Simmons had a good couple of games in the team’s last two outings. He had a double-double in their win against the Portland Trail Blazers. And Simmons even managed to have his first 20+point game of the season against their win against the Memphis Grizzlies.
With the Nets visiting Philadelphia for their next matchup, Simmons was asked by a reporter if enough time has passed that things won’t be so bad when he goes to Philadelphia. And Simmons gave him a hilarious look and said, “In Philly? C’mon now, I know what’s coming.”

This will be the first time that the Brooklyn Nets will be facing the Philadelphia 76ers this season. Ben Simmons was a part of the trade that brought him to Brooklyn and sent James Harden to the 76ers.

How things went down between Simmons and the 76ers
Simmons had an awfully tough time getting into the groove of the game with his new team but has picked up the pace since then. The Australian point guard did not leave the 76ers organization on good terms.
He clearly burned some bridges on his way out. Simmons was highly criticized by fans, analysts, and even his teammates and coach over a play in the playoffs. And from there, one thing led to another to the point that Simmons had to be traded away.
