The Brooklyn Nets finally had their statement win of the season. While they have had some impressive and hard-fought wins already, none of that comes close to what they did against the Phoenix Suns. Phoenix is a top-four seed in the West and came into the game against Brooklyn on good form.
The Suns took an early 24-point lead. However, the Nets whittled it down and ultimately won the game 128-124. While it was led by James Harden on the court, Steve Nash had one of his best nights as a coach so far. He beamed for joy after the game, talking about the character of this team.

“All vibes in there right now; all vibes. The guys are rightfully excited. It’s a great morale booster, especially missing Kevin and Ky and finding a way to make up for a 24-point deficit. We showed a lot of character, a lot of heart, and as a coaching staff, that just makes you proud.”

Even though this game was a win, it was yet another game where the Nets gave up more than 120 points. These defensive woes can easily be masked in the regular season, but they will be exposed in the playoffs by a team that sets up to defend it over seven games.
Defence wins championships is the old saying, but the Nets are the best team to prove it wrong. Having two of the greatest scorers of a generation in James Harden and Kevin Durant on a team is already lethal enough. However, one of the best finishers and dribbles of all-time in Kyrie Irving is also there to share the load.
