In the season that just got concluded, very few teams created as much talk as the Brooklyn Nets. With the side possessing the destructive trio of Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and James Harden, most people thought the Nets would run away with the title. However, that was not the case. Owing to some injuries and mismatched decisions, the side crashed out in the Conference semifinals to the eventual winners; the Milwaukee Bucks. And ahead of the new season, a key player of the men in black opined that health was the only reason for the Nets not going all the way.
Bruce Brown is one of the top young prospects of the league. At just 24 years of age, Brown can play as a guard or forward. He has immense capabilities to compete with the best of the best, and gelled perfectly with the big names of the Nets. In the 2020-21 campaign, the fiery customer from Massachusetts averaged around 9 points and 5.4 rebounds in the regular season. Sure, it can be argued that these aren’t the best of numbers; but we need to remember that Brown is still blooming.

All members of their big trio underwent some painful blows, which eventually cost them. As a result, the young Bruce Brown was of the opinion that these issues ensured the Nets didn’t go all the way.
