Calling Out Stephen Curry’s Side for “No Execution.. No Commitment”, Warriors Coach Makes Disheartening 1 Word Admission
The Golden State Warriors have struggled with the quality of their game so far this season. The defending champions played a brand of basketball with Stephen Curry at the helm that helped the team win four championships in the past eight years. However, with their latest loss against the Phoenix Suns last Wednesday, the Warriors’ record in away games slumped further down to a shocking 0-8. And this made the head coach of the Warriors, Steve Kerr, use a word to hold himself responsible for this ongoing situation of the team.
The Warriors present situation made both Stephen Curry and Steve Kerr display disappointment in their faces and in their words. Steve Kerr expressed his concern for the team. He said that the current team is not on par with the one that won the championship last season. He added that they were playing like it was a pick-up game. Furthermore, he said, “There’s no execution at either end, no certain commitment to the group to get three stops in a row to execute on offense.” Kerr finished his statement by saying he has “failed” to bring the team together and made them learn to shoot as a group.

The Warriors were looking like they were getting back on track with back-to-back masterclasses from Stephen Curry against the Sacramento Kings and the Cleveland Cavaliers last week. The Dubs guard also gave a fighting performance against the Suns with a scoreline of 50 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists. However, despite his efforts, they were not unable to come away with the win.
The Golden State Warriors are currently 6-9 for the season so far. Furthermore, they made their 0-8 record on the road for the first time since the season of 1989-90, along with having the longest away games losing streak as reigning champions since the Chicago Bulls of 1998-99.
