A drama-laden but anticlimactic end to game 2 has the Golden State Warriors now two down in round 1 of the playoffs. The Sacramento Kings carried their momentum from game 1 over, dominating the dubs last night. Despite the frustrating loss for DubNation, Dubs star Draymond Green snatched all the attention away by displaying dirty antics in the last quarter. Following the game, Splash Brothers Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson backed DrayMagic despite his questionable act.
With less than 7 minutes left in the game, Green and Kings’ center Domantas Sabonis engaged in an ugly spat. Sabonis grabbed Green’s leg when he fell off balance attempting for a rebound. In order to get rid of Sabonis’ hold, the Dubs star stomped on his chest in a manner that seemed conspicuously deliberate. Referees called a flagrant foul on Green and a technical foul on the Kings’ star.

Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson reflect on Green’s antics
After the frustrating loss, the Splash Brothers addressed the press individually and reflected on the 4th quarter incident. Stephen Curry defended Draymond Green, saying, “I know he [Sabonis] grabbed his foot. I don’t know what you’re supposed to do in that situation.” He added that Sabonis played the game after the incident, hinting that the stomp didn’t affect the star’s health.

Steph’s Warriors to play in unexplored terrain
Ever since the mighty Stephen Curry-Steve Kerr association formed, the Dubs have never played a playoffs game with a 0-2 record. The Warriors need to take advantage of their two upcoming home games to bounce back in the contest. Moreover, Curry seemed off-color on Monday, dropping just 3 three-pointers in 13 attempts.
He missed several 3-pointers that were decidedly a clutch scenario, and had also missed the crucial potential-winner three during the final moments of game 1. However, the Dubnation expects their stars to be fired up as usual for Thursday’s game 3.
