Having just come back to restore momentum for Frank Vogel and co, AD went down after injuring his right ankle during the first half vs Utah. But how long will it take for the 8-time All-Star to return to court?

Doctor provides a crucial update on Anthony Davis’ injury

During a vital play, Davis clipped Rudy Gobert’s foot, going down in the process. According to ESPN, the starlet has suffered a sprain and not a fracture. As a result, it will take him at least two weeks to recover.

Importantly, the All-Star break will help Davis recover, and there is hope that he will not miss too many games. After the match, LeBron also expressed his sorrow at his teammate, getting injured again.

As he explained, Davis couldn’t apply any sort of pressure on his ankle. However, scans have ruled out a fracture. Once further tests are carried out, the extent of his injury will determine his return to the Lakers lineup. If it is a grade-1 sprain, he will be back in a week or two. A higher grade of injury, however, will result in a recovery time of up to even 4-6 weeks. Nonetheless, it is unlikely that his injury will be of such magnitude.
