NBA legend Michael Jordan is as iconic as one can get. Needless to say, thanks to his immense success, there are countless comparisons even to date. Whether it is LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, or others, they have all been compared to MJ at some point in time.
Recently, WNBA legend Sue Bird put in a phenomenal performance during the WNBA playoffs. She did a ‘shrug’ celebration and guess what? All the MJ comparisons started coming.

The 41-year-old Bird became the oldest player in WNBA history to record a double-double. Moreover, she scored 18 points and 10 assists for the night to help her team get the better of the opposition.
After one of her plays, Bird brought out the iconic ‘shrug’ celebration. Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan was famous for doing the shrug during his time in the NBA.

As the above reactions suggest, people were quick to call out the comparisons. Interestingly enough, Sue Bird happened to knock Washington out of the playoffs and Jordan played his final years in the NBA for a team from the same city.

While many might associate Michael Jordan with only the Chicago Bulls, he spent an important part of his career in the Washington Wizards. MJ came out of retirement and joined the team during the 2001-02 season.
In fact, a 38-year-old Jordan managed to get nominated in the All-Star game for both his seasons in Washington. He retired with an average of 21.2 points, 4.4 assists, and 5.9 rebounds.
