It’s tough being a Los Angeles Lakers fan at the moment. The team is struggling for a playoff spot and is currently in 9th place in their respective conference. To add salt to the Lakers’ wounds, coach Frank Vogel has revealed a piece of worrying news regarding LeBron James.

The Los Angeles Lakers coach has revealed details regarding LeBron’s injury. After missing games against the  Philadelphia 76ers and Charlotte Hornets, he is set to miss the game against Atlanta Hawks because of a swelling on his left knee.

LeBron missed two of the Lakers games because of this injury. Both of them ended in losses despite good performances from Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook.

Earlier, the Lakers coach gave out details regarding LeBron’s injury. According to the coach, LeBron underwent an MRI scan on his injured knee which revealed general swelling.

James has returned to Los Angeles to undergo treatment on his knee. Although the coach has not given out further details regarding a return, he hasn’t ruled out a return against the Portland Trailblazers.

The Lakers face the Atlanta Hawks next without their star LeBron James for the third straight game. Although Anthony Davis gave the Lakers another injury scare after hurting his right wrist, he is expected to start as per ESPN.

Los Angeles Lakers have had injury troubles all season and their issues pile up in this crucial part of the season. Currently positioned 9th in the western conference, the Lakers are struggling for a playoffs place.

With LeBron James out, the Lakers face their toughest test yet. The 37-year-old has been crucial for Los Angeles. He averages 29.1 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game this season.
