Former NBA Champion Lauds Houston Rockets For Playing Inspiring Basketball Against Wizards

The Washington Wizards may have reached their point of no return. After another crushing defeat against the Houston Rockets, they remain at the bottom of the Eastern Conference with a 3-10 record. What makes it worse is that this was supposed to be a matchup to prove which team was the winner of the blockbuster trade that landed Russell Westbrook with the Wizards and sent John Wall to the Rockets.
Washington Wizards vs Houston Rockets
Despite having to catch up with the Wizards in the first quarter, the Rockets eventually found their rhythm. They started scoring from behind the arc and left the game as winners. Leading Houston was John Wall, who finished with 24 points, and DeMarcus Cousins, who ended the game with 19 points.

By the second quarter, the Rockets had all the control. No doubt, Wall deserves most of the credit for it. He had 15 points under his belt as soon as the first two quarters got over. Although he mellowed down a little in the third, he was back at it in the fourth one. He put a solid full stop to the teams’ performance, and with 107-88, the game was over.

As per Kendrick Perkins, “The Rockets are playing some inspiring basketball and Big Cousins have turned back the hands of time got Damn it. That’s 3 Ws in a row for HTown and they have been doing it in great fashion”.
Like everyone witnessed, the Wizards didn’t have it in them to fight the Rockets, and Perkins couldn’t agree more. “On the other hand the Wizards have some issues that they need to address ASAP!”

The trash-talking made it ugly

While watching Beal sulk throughout the game was a downer, there was also a minor episode between the two traded players when the Wizards were trailing in the last quarter. Wall and Russell Westbrook ended up trash-talking with each other, while Beal stood by and watched.
The matter got a little out of hand, and the referees had to step in. It ended with both of them getting a technical foul, and even though Wall seemed to have cooled off later, Westbrook still looked furious.
The Rockets stand eleventh in the West with a 7-9 record and have the potential to pull themselves up. However, not sure anybody can say that about the Washington Wizards. The two teams are scheduled to face each other again in mid-February. Do you think that matchup will be as intense as this one?
