However, the decision that led to her release has left the nation in chaos. The State Department agreed to release notorious Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout in exchange for Griner. Meanwhile, Russia denied freeing retired marine Paul Whelan through the same deal. Recently, leaked footage of Brittney Griner from inside her Russian prison has surfaced on the Internet, prompting a meltdown among fans on Twitter.

Brittney Griner spent ten months in Russia and was sentenced to nine years in prison. The WNBA star spent little over a month in the IK-2 penal colony before the US secured her release in a prisoner exchange deal. However, the disappointing outcome for Paul Whelan during the prisoner swap has left a lot of Americans question the Biden Administration.

Secret footage of Brittney Griner from Russian prison surfaces, triggering fans on social media

Recently, RHTV posted secret footage of Brittney Griner from her Russian prison. The clip revealed the bunker and the bed where Griner was housed. Griner appears to be joyful in some of the footage as she goes through the various procedures before her release. Moreover, the latter part of the video depicts the WNBA star being transported from her colony and also features her first interview on the plane back home.

The footage led to a great deal of compassion from some fans who sympathized with Griner’s struggles in Russia. At the same time, there was a sense of disapproval among others.

Meanwhile, one fan wrote“I’m happy she made it home. Half of the men in the us couldn’t do it but this women did. I just don’t find nothing about this amusing or funny…”
