A fact that none of his opponents would deny. In a recent edition of The Big Podcast, Shaq explained how good performances should be measured and how his performances were enough to win games. The Big man even claimed that he was so dominant that he could win games for the LA side even without the assistance of Kobe Bryant.

According to Shaq, he used to run the plays for the Lakers and if he had a good game, he could win games for the LA side. The Big Aristotle mentioned how even Kobe Bryant could sit quietly throughout the game if he was in his zone.

Shaq sat down with his crew in a recent podcast appearance while talking about his life in LA. Meanwhile, the Big Aristotle was questioned by his co-host Anthony Adams on the importance of a team and how one player shouldn’t be blamed for everything. In a recent edition of The Big Podcast, Shaq claimed it wasn’t the case with him because he believed the team depended on his performance in all the games. A puzzled Adams asked if even the legendary Kobe Bryant’s contributions didn’t matter during Shaq’s peak, to which Shaq had a confident reply.

In fact, Shaq emphasized on the extent of his dominance on the hardwood that helped the Lakers secure a monopoly in the league at the time. Despite Kobe Bryant’s contributions in those campaigns, the Big Diesel insisted that he was the pivotal driving force behind the team’s performance.

The iconic duo was unstoppable and their three championship rings in three years were proof of that. Both were incredibly close and fierce competitors, which led them to incredible success. Despite Kobe’s brilliant performances during the Lakers’ three-peat from 2000 to 2002, there’s no denying that Shaq was the centerpiece of the team. The dominant center bagged all three Finals MVP trophies during those campaigns and quite deservedly so.
