LeBron James once publicly insulted President Donald Trump on social media for rescinding his invitation to Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors to visit the White House. In fact, LeBron James used bold words to condemn the President’s action in a Twitter post that garnered over one million likes from social media users.

The Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2017 NBA Finals to bag their second championship against the Cavs in three straight Finals appearances. As a result, the Dubs got invited to the White House to meet the President of the United States, as is the custom every year for every champion team from the top leagues in the country.

Meanwhile, Dubs guard Stephen Curry expressed his reluctance to honor the visit owing to the President’s recent verbiage. In response to Curry’s comments, President Trump decided to rescind his invitation.

LeBron James insulted President Trump on Twitter

President Trump wrote on Twitter, “Going to the White House is considered a great honor for a championship team. Stephen Curry is hesitating, therefore invitation is withdrawn!”.

Meanwhile, LeBron James retaliated on Twitter saying, “U bum @StephenCurry30 already said he ain’t going! So therefore ain’t no invite. Going to White House was a great honor until you showed up!”
