“Let’s Prevent It Happening Again!”: After Kawhi Leonard Suffered a Heartbreak, Major NBA Update Leaves Fans in Sheer Disbelief
A few days back, the Los Angeles Clippers and Sacramento Kings locked horns, and the ‘Beam Team’ triumphed against Kawhi Leonard & Co. in a double OT. Interestingly, the Clippers lost against the Denver Nuggets in an OT just two days after the game. In both games, many players from the teams played for over 35+ minutes, especially Leonard and Paul George. In light of these overtime games, the NBA is reportedly looking forward to implementing a new rule that would benefit the players.
In response to the possible change, fans took to social media. Many were seemingly upset and vented their disappointment in the comment section.

Eric Pincus of the Bleacher Report, in one of his recent articles, reported that the league is considering implementing a target score for overtime games. Adam Silver and the league are seemingly considering this change, so players don’t injure themselves by playing for a prolonged period on the hardwood. It is also no coincidence that the news emerged days after Leonard, who had a particular trade demand in January, tasted bitter defeat against the Kings and Nuggets.
Fans upset after the proposed change
As fans acknowledged that the league considered implementing a new rule, they chipped in on Twitter. Flooding its comment section with their thoughts and opinions. Judging from their comments, most seemed unhappy, while a few users suggested different ways to make the OT more enjoyable.
