But very few arguably got money like what Michael Jordan accumulated over the years with his on and off-court exploits. From getting massive NBA contracts to endorsement deals with the biggest brands, Jordan also had a sound knowledge of personal finance and hence made many investments that reaped great rewards for him. Speaking of his investments, it may remind fans of the hilarious story of MJ investing in a body care brand. In the late 90s, Michael Jordan invested in a brand related to body care mostly because he has very big hands.

With being magnificent with the ball, it seemed Jordan also understood the game of money very well.

Michael Jordan and his reason to make a big soap

Back in the mid-90s, the Chicago Bulls legend did a Q&A interview with Kevin Cook of Playboy magazine. The official Michael Jordan soap seemed to distract Cook before even starting the interview.

Furthermore, Cook began the interview with the question of why was his soap so big. Michael Jordan quickly responded by saying, “Look at my hand. It’s huge, isn’t it? So I need a big soap. And I’m not the only one—my teammates need something big to wash their butts with.”

Back in 1997, Jordan revealed in an interview the reason behind making such a product for his brand on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’. Due to his big hands, he took the decision to make a big soap for himself and his teammates. Leno got surprised by seeing the size of the soap.

Therefore, this was the reason for introducing such a product into his brand. Jordan, along with being well-informed about investments, also made sure to make quality products that would help him and his teammates.
