NBA Analyst Believes Damian Lillard Will be ‘Frustrated’ with Phoenix Suns’ Success

Damian Lillard has been the talk of the town ever since the Portland Trail Blazers were knocked out of the 2021 season. Numerous reports have claimed that the Portland star is opting for a move out this summer. The 31-year-old is currently busy training with the USA national side that is preparing for the 2021 Olympics.
The point guard has given it his all for Portland, for nearly a decade now. He has been one of the greats of the franchise, averaging close to 25 points in the nine regular seasons he has played. However, after an apparent fallout recently, Lillard might be on his way out. Portland’s No. 0 could possibly be traded or sold to another squad if he wishes.

Reggie Miller thinks Damian Lillard would be disappointed in retrospect
The Denver Nuggets knocked the Portland Trail Blazers out in the Western Conference quarterfinals. Despite starting on a positive note and Lillard performing exceedingly well, the Portland side crashed out 4-2 in the series. And NBA analyst Reggie Miller believes that Phoenix reaching the Finals will be something that Lillard will ponder on.

An early exit would have been ‘frustrating’ for Lillard
Speaking on the Dan Patrick Show, Miller recognized the agony in Lillard’s mind with the way his campaign ended. He said, “But you’re talking about the role players; Cameron Payne, Torrey Craig, DeAndre Ayton. They got to the NBA Finals, and you’re telling me we [Portland] couldn’t have done that? That probably would be more frustrating if I am Lillard.”

With the chances of an exit increasing by the day, Portland may have to start its quest for a new star soon enough.
