The Miami Heat ‘culture’ recently took in Toronto Raptors front-row champion Kyle Lowry. Reportedly, Lowry got traded to Miami under a sign-and-trade agreement offering a three-year $90 million contract. However, with this contract, if Miami aims for a championship next year, is Lowry fulfilling ambitions?
Now 35, Kyle Lowry led the Toronto Raptors to their lone championship in 2019. He’s been a driving force for the team, but this deal handed the Raptors Goran Dragic and Precious Achiuwa in exchange for Lowry.

Smith says, “I’m not moved.”

Lowry, who averaged 17 points this year and close to 40 percent from the three-point range, isn’t the answer to Miami’s future according to Stephen A. Smith. Smith said, “When we last saw you (Miami Heat), what happened to you? You got swept by the Milwaukee Bucks. That’s (Kyle Lowry’s trade to Heat) not going to be the difference… This dude is a special player… but in Miami, as they’re presently constructed, I don’t see him making that big of a deal.”

Is Miami Heat picking up the right pieces for 2021-22?

Jimmy Butler and co. were the bubble finalists alongside the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020. However, they went home with a disappointing runner-up title. And this year, they have further derailed off the track with an early exit from the league.
This trade season, Duncan Robinson signed back with Miami and their young talent stays intact with Tyler Herro in line as well. However, considering how Milwaukee swept their team during the 2021 playoffs, more players will have to step up next season.
