Shaquille O’Neal is one of the greatest players ever to have played the game of basketball. The legendary center was a physical marvel. Shaq was a unicorn even before that term became famous in basketball terms. Shaq was dominant on both ends of the floor. His physicality helped him dominate the players in the post area on offense. On defense, his size helped him in protecting the basket.
Due to his larger-than-life personality, he was a media favorite, and the fans loved him. After his playing career, this trait of his helped him establish his second career in the sports media. In the newest episode of his podcast, Shaq talked about one specific incident, which involved his friend Dennis Scott’s kid. Nischelle asked about O’Neal and Scott’s son punching The Big Diesel. Shaq said that it was his fault that he taught him to do that when he was a kid by holding his hands. He said that when the kid punched, he and the kid started laughing. And it continued every time they met. But Shaq didn’t expect to get hit in the face when Scott’s son was a bit grown up. Especially on Live TV.
O’Neal said, “So ever since a little boy, every time he see me he hit me and we started laughing.” He continued, “I was kind of mad because when he hit me I wasn’t expecting it and he got a little man’s hands and he kinda rugged my jaw and I had to say to myself don’t hit him back he is a kid. He is a kid.”
