It’ll take a long, long time for the Philadelphia 76ers to untangle the Ben Simmons fiasco. No day goes by without more twists and turns in the story, and unfortunately, most of them are for the worse. Despite the fact that there is an incredibly intriguing new 2021-22 NBA season keeping us entertained now, hasn’t helped fans move away from gossiping over this saga. This is something even Sacramento Kings’ Davion Mitchell has caught notice of.
The most recent update about Ben Simmons was that he had a bad run-in with the organization during practice. It not only led to Simmons being suspended for their season opener against the New Orleans Pelicans but also a harsh interview with Joel Embiid. In the interview, Embiid went as far as claiming to not care “about that man“.
In return, Simmons made it clear to the team that he wasn’t mentally prepared to get back on the court. This might be a strategy of Ben and his agents to still get him his salary without playing, working that loophole in the contract. However, it’s not fooling anyone that all Simmons wants is to be traded.
