With age comes great wisdom, and probably great strength too. For many, strength might not increase with age, but it definitely did for the Golden State Warriors talisman, Stephen Curry. Curry, who is undoubtedly the finest shooter of this generation, was just having a shortcoming that was stopping him from reaching his full potential.

The shortcoming was nothing but just his physique. However, that was not the case anymore over the last two years. The Dubs guard’s recent intentional hard work toward his body helped him to transform his physique. Moreover, his haters also fueled him to get his body in shape.

Since his debut, except for the past two years, Curry was quite skinny compared to his other basketball companions. Apart from that, the Baby-Faced Assassin is also listed at 6’2 which makes him a little short than an average basketball player. Therefore, with these two physical aspects combined, the Dubs guard faced quite a lot of trouble on the hardwood.

Oftentimes, his opponents would push him and make his efforts on the courts go in vain. Though it didn’t stop him, he won three championships with the Warriors from 2015 to 2018.

However, all those championship runs did put a significant amount of mileage on his body. Therefore, over the past two years, the four-time champion significantly changed his body and added around 15 pounds of muscle. Though he didn’t become a bull, his body transformation was quite significant in the league of giants. Now the Dubs guard rarely gets ‘pushed around’ by his opponents. Rather, he gives his opponents a tough time on the court.

Even the Warriors’ head coach, Steve Kerr, commented on the Baby-Faced Assassin’s epic body transformation last month. Kerr said,  “He’s ripped. He used to look like your little brother out there. And now he is just ripped…”

Moreover, Kerr added, “People are trying to pick on him defensively —because that’s what you do, you try to wear him out for the offensive end. I just don’t see people going through him anymore. So he puts up a stand. And he’s just, he’s physically very different now.”

Curry’s body transformation was not just a vanity pursuit. The Warriors guard did this all for his own good, just to be more explosive and lethal on the court. Notably, he wanted to give a befitting reply to his haters.
