Phoenix Suns’ Jae Crowder Reveals Why He Did the Salsa Dance Against Los Angeles Lakers in the Playoffs

Milwaukee Bucks beat the Phoenix Suns 109-103 in a dogfight of a matchup. This was their toughest matchup until now. However, when it comes to the rest of the playoffs, the Suns have been clinical. Their first round against Los Angeles Lakers was proof of their intent.
Their series with the Los Angeles Lakers was full of trash-talking, great basketball, and memorable moments. One of those moments was Jae Crowder’s salsa dance in game 6 of the series. Prior to game 4 of the NBA finals, Crowder spoke about his salsa dancing.

Jae Crowder says Lakers added motivation
Suns vs Lakers was probably the most charged up playoff series this year. In game 3, we saw LeBron James going right at Crowder. Meanwhile, the Lakers bench didn’t miss out either as they did a lot in game 3 from the sidelines.

Later, towards the end of the series clincher, with 30 seconds left on the clock and Phoenix Suns being up, Crowder saw the opportunity and pulled off a salsa dance on the Lakers. Crowder got ejected as a result, but he had no issues with that.
While on The Jump, Crowder said that Phoenix Suns waited for that feeling of defeat before pulling off the antics. Crowder said: “I dont know if you’ll remember game 3. They did a lot on the sidelines in Game 3. That ruffled a lot of feathers on our side. And, that gave us a little extra spark of motivation.”

Game 3 certainly added motivation to Crowder as he averaged nearly 15 points a game in the last 3 games. He played great 2-way basketball against the Lakers throughout the series. He scored 18 points in game 6, which was his highest in the series.
Devin Booker lights out for Phoenix Suns
Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker was on song in game 4 against Milwaukee as he scored 42 points. He couldn’t miss it as he had 12 third-quarter points to his name. Chris Paul had an off night as could contribute just 10 points. Crowder scored 15 points to go with 3 steals and 3 blocks.

Milwaukee’s hero, Khris Middleton, scored 40 points to take them through. Giannis Antetokounmpo accumulated 26 points and 14 rebounds to the mix for Milwaukee. In addition, he had 8 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.
