Two of the top teams from both conferences locked horns on the hardwood floor in their most recent matchup. The Philadelphia 76ers hosted the Memphis Grizzlies in a closely contested game. However, before the game could get exciting in terms of basketball, it took more of a spiteful turn. Grizzlies guard Dillon Brooks and 76ers star James Harden got into it and were at each other’s throats right away.

It did not take long for the game to turn hostile. With only about three minutes into the game, Dillon Brooks seemed to be back to his tactics and was bumping chests with James Harden before the two were separated. Even Ja Morant could be seen laughing in the background.

Now according to the video, Brooks continued to play defense despite a foul being called. Putting his hand on Harden’s waist, something ‘The Beard’ did not like. Harden frustratingly swiped his hand away.

And that’s all it took for Brooks and Harden to have a face-off in the middle of the game. Brooks could be seen smiling and laughing as their respective teammates tried to intervene before things escalated.

Fans were certainly not happy with Brooks’ on-court antics. One fan tweeted, “Ok seriously though, whats wrong with Dillon?? I know he has a bad boy rep now..but this is getting out of hand lol. The kid on the playground that was always getting into fights usually had some other  going on outside of school.”

Another fan commented, “Embiid picked him up like a toy lmao.”

Here are a few more reactions from fans on Twitter.

A majority of the fans seemed to have had enough of Brooks always getting into altercations, who is clearly trying to live up to the bad boy image.

This was not the first time the Memphis guard got into an altercation with someone. The most recent incident was Brooks literally getting into a fight with Cleveland Cavaliers star, Donovan Mitchell.

Mitchell threw Brooks to the ground when he extended his arm, hitting Mitchell in his groin. This led to both of the players getting ejected. Not only that but Brooks was also involved in the scuffle that took place during the Lakers game with Shannon Sharpe.

The Canadian basketball player has also tried to lock horns with the entire Golden State Warriors team. This was after the Grizzlies were eliminated from the playoffs last year by Golden State.

The 2017 second-team All-American player has surely developed a bad boy image in the league, with fans slamming him on social media. While it has become a recurring incident, it would be surprising to see the league take any action against Brooks. What are your thoughts on Brooks getting involved in another altercation? Let us know in the comments.
