A widely regarded personality, the 15-time All-star once met billionaire businessman Bill Gates, in an unseen photo. To the shock of many, the difference in statures is totally bizarre.

For around two decades, Shaquille O’Neal bossed the NBA. With so many iconic performances along with the likes of Kobe Bryant, Shaq went on to win 4 NBA titles. After retiring, the now 49-year-old became an entrepreneur-businessman, and also works as a leading analyst for the league. Meanwhile, Bill Gates is one of the richest individuals in the world, for his success as the co-founder of Microsoft.

Big Shaq began his career way back in 1992, with the Orlando Magic. Then in 1996, he moved over to the Los Angeles Lakers; and the rest is history. A year before the Buss family acquired him though, O’Neal once met up with the legendary Gates. At the time, the NBA great was still in his 20s, whereas Bill was just about 40. Here’s the image.

As seen in the rare photograph, Shaq has his arm around the Microsoft founder. The meeting took place in 1995, when the powerhouse player had just outgrown the rookie phase. He is wearing a black t-shirt with a chain, while Gates is donning a somewhat violet top with sunglasses. Clearly, the basketball legend is towering over the older businessman.
